• To Protect Privacy: Real names in your entries are automatically replaced with fictional names before AI processing.
• To Improve Your Experience: Profile information helps personalize your episodes.
• To Communicate: We may send you service-related notifications.

Privacy Protection

Your privacy is our priority:

• Name Replacement: Real names are automatically swapped with fictional names before any AI processing.
• No Logging: Your journal content is never logged on our servers.
• Encryption: All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
• No AI Training: Your personal data is never used to train AI models.
• Anonymized Processing: Only anonymized content is sent for episode generation.

Data Storage & Security

We implement industry-standard security measures:

• Secure HTTPS connections for all data transmission
• Encrypted database storage
• Secure authentication with JWT tokens
• Optional biometric/PIN app lock

Your Rights (GDPR)

You have the right to:

• Access: Export all your data at any time from the app.
• Delete: Permanently delete all your data from our servers.
• Portability: Download your journal and episodes as PDF files.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Anthropic (Claude AI): For episode generation. Only anonymized content is sent.
• Cloud Hosting: For secure data storage.

We do not sell your data to third parties.

Children's Privacy

Protag is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
