Welcome to Protag! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Protag mobile application ("App") operated by Protag ("we," "our," or "us").

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Protag, you confirm that you:

• Are at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction)
• Have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
• Will comply with these Terms and all applicable laws

2. Description of Service

Protag is a journaling application that uses artificial intelligence to transform your journal entries into TV-style episodic content. The service includes:

• Journal entry creation and storage
• AI-powered episode generation
• Character and setting management
• Export and sharing features

3. Your Account

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Your Content

Ownership: You retain full ownership of your journal entries and any content you create.

License: By using the App, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing our services (e.g., generating episodes). This license ends when you delete your content or account.

Responsibility: You are solely responsible for the content you create. Do not include content that:

• Violates any laws or regulations
• Infringes on others' intellectual property rights
• Contains threats, harassment, or hate speech
• Includes content about minors in inappropriate contexts

5. AI-Generated Content

Episodes generated by our AI are creative transformations of your journal entries. Please understand:

• AI output may not perfectly reflect your intended meaning
• Generated content is fictional entertainment based on your entries
• You can adjust or regenerate episodes if unsatisfied
• We are not responsible for how you use or share generated content

6. Privacy & Data

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Key points:

• Real names are automatically replaced before AI processing
• Your data is never used to train AI models
• You can export or delete your data at any time

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer or hack the App
• Interfere with the App's operation or security
• Create multiple accounts to abuse free features
• Share your account with others
• Use automated systems to access the App

8. Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but cannot guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• That the App will meet all your requirements
• The accuracy of AI-generated content

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice when possible.

9. Intellectual Property

The Protag name, logo, and App design are our intellectual property. You may not use our branding without written permission.

The App uses third-party services and open-source software, which are subject to their respective licenses.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We provide the App "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the past 12 months

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the App. We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases, but provisions that should survive (like limitation of liability) will remain in effect.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of [Your State/Jurisdiction].
